Antonio M. Rinaldi received the graduation degree in computer engineering and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and systems from the University of Napoli Federico II, Napoli, Italy, in 2005.

His fields of interests are knowledge representation and retrieval, integrative bioinformatics, big data, multimedia database, deep learning and GIS. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, University of Napoli Federico II, Napoli, Italy.

Dr. Rinaldi is the Head of the Intelligent KNOwledge Systems Research Unit (IKNOS RU), Leader of the COmputational and Systems Biology Lab (COSMO LAB) CNR IEOS-UNINA Joint unit, Head of the CINI - Digital Health Laboratory UNINA local unit member of the CINI-ITEM Laboratory Board, the ARhemLab-DIETI Technical Board and PICUSlab-DIETI. He is an Associate Researcher at CNR IEOS. He is member of several journal editorial boards, conference program and reviewer committees and he is author and co-author of numerous research papers in international journals and conference proceedings.

In the last years, he has been involved in several research and industrial projects related to information retrieval, multimedia database integration, and geographic information systems.
