Cristian Tommasino received the MSc degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies of the University of Napoli Federico II (UNINA) in 2019 with a thesis on web document retrieval using visual and semantic techniques.
He is currently a PhD student in Information Communication Technologies for Health (ICTH) at the University of Napoli Federico II, where he is studying biomedical/biological data modelling through ontological representation and biological images processing and analysing. His research interests include computational pathology, multimedia biodata analysis, information retrieval, ontologies, NoSQL databases, cognitive robotics, machine learning, Big Data, deep learning and data mining.
Tommasino is part of the Intelligent KNOwledge Systems Lab (IKNOS LAB) and COmputational and Systems Biology Lab (COSMO LAB) CNR IEOS-UNINA. He also collaborates with Pattern analysis and Intelligent Computation for Multimedia Systems Lab (Picus Lab) at UNINA. Tommasino is a member of the program committee of the AIKE conference, and he contributes as a reviewer for several international journals and conferences.
Tommasino has been supervisor of several MSc Management Engineering thesis and co-supervisor of BSc/MSc Computer Science Engineering thesis.
